WorkSafe Statistics
Our prevention teams regularly review workplace injury and fatality statistics, looking for emerging trends and opportunities to address safety issues. Of course, not all workplaces are the same. That’s why we compare statistics across a wide range of professions and industries, to help identify common challenges, as well as those that are unique to a particular type of work. The data helps develop initiatives such as the 2023-2028 Serious Injuries and Fatalities Strategy.
We are happy to share the most recent statistics below. You may wish to review those that apply to your industry when developing and enhancing your own workplace health and safety programs. Knowing the risks inherent in your industry is a key in the ongoing efforts to keep your employees safe on the job.
