Upon successful completion of the Supervision & Safety Workshop Train the Trainer, participants will be certified to conduct Supervision & Safety Training at their workplaces. By the end of this two-day workshop, participants will know how to:

  • How to locate relevant information in Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety legislation to address occupational health and safety (OHS) issues in their workplace
  • The duties and roles of everyone within the OHS Workplace Responsibility System
  • Their duties and required competencies under Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety legislation
  • The role of the supervisor within workplace OHS management systems
  • Specific duties of a supervisor within workplace OHS management systems such as:
    • Hazard identification, risk assessment and hazard control
    • Workplace inspections
    • Incident Investigations
    • Refusals to work
    • Worker training and orientation
  • Deliver and facilitate Supervision & Safety Training

Back Injury Prevention: Back injuries are one of the most common work related injuries that can significantly disrupt our lives including our ability to work. This course outlines the ergonomics of safe lifting, safety tips, hazard assessment and controls to prevent back injuries.

CWAT Course: The Computer Workstation Assessment training program will help participants assess, identify and adjust items in the work environment to reduce and prevent repetitive stress injuries.

At the end of this six hour course, participants will know how to apply and assess ergonomic principles to set up computer workstations for ergonomic fit.

This 2-day course will assist employers in understanding the benefits of keeping safety statistics — the why, what and where to find the information, the applicable legislation, data management, training, communication, and continuous improvement necessary to track injury data and prevent injuries through maintaining a safety measurement system.

Effective Return to Work: The Effective Return to Work training program is designed to teach supervisors and business owners how to form committees, create their own policies, and plan procedures to facilitate a return-to-work program. The course includes templates, forms and step-by-step instructions for small and large companies.
