Ergonomics & Exertion
Ergonomic and exertion injuries include musculoskeletal injuries (MSIs), repetitive strain injuries, soft tissue injuries, sprains and strains. While they can happen from a one-time event, these can also be cumulative injuries that occur insidiously over time. These injuries may happen from over-exertion of your body. They may happen from twisting, lifting, reaching, using a tool repetitively with force, working in an awkward position, or even from sitting.
Learn the signs of injury involving your back, or caused by hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), repetitive strain injury (RSI), poor office ergonomics, or sprains and strains caused by improper lifting. Early diagnosis of this type of injury can prevent permanent damage.
