Steps for Life
The Steps for Life walks across Canada support Threads of Life.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the format for the walk is changed. However, you can still participate and/or help to fundraiser by planning your own Steps for Life activity. Since we all have to stay at home, it will be easier to participate and show our support for families affected by a workplace tragedy and our commitment to workplace health and safety.
Here is how you can participate and have some fun:
- Registration is free. Go to Threadsoflife.ca. You can create your own team or join individually.
- In May, plan your own event. (Saskatoon is planning on participating during North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) week.) Here are a few examples:
- Have a yellow t-shirt day.
- Have a family game night.
- Go for a bike ride or walk.
Note: Please make sure to follow the current COVID-19 public health guidelines at the time of your event.
- Fundraise, if you want. The need for Threads of Life’s programs continues. However, we understand the financial impact COVID-19 is having. Fundraising is not the main focus, but participation is.
- Like and follow Threads of Life social media to keep up to date, share your reason for participating and share your event. It may even inspire others. Use #MyWHYMyWay when posting to spread awareness and please tag the appropriate walk.
