WorkSafe Saskatchewan, a partnership between the WCB and the Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety, works closely with many key partners who share our mission of making Saskatchewan a safer place to work. Through collaboration, we identify new solutions and create lasting improvements for our customers.

The Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety encourages healthy, safe and productive workplaces by setting, promoting and enforcing employment and occupational health and safety standards. The Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety works with businesses, labour groups, workers and other partners to foster a positive labour environment.

The Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) operates like an insurance company. The WCB provides guaranteed benefits and programs to injured workers in industries covered by the Workers’ Compensation Act, 2013 and protects registered employers from lawsuits when a workplace injury happens. The WCB’s mission is to eliminate injuries and restore abilities.

Since 2002, Saskatchewan’s injury rates have dropped by 65 per cent, a success made possible through these vital partnerships.

Energy Safety Canada logo
Energy Safety Canada (ESC) is the nation’s energy safety association that works side by side with industry to drive safety work performance. ESC serves workers and employers in the energy sector and aims to make safety standards consistent for workers, reduce injuries and incidents and increase efficiency through shared solutions and common safety standards.
Heavy Construction Safety Association of Saskatchewan logo
The Heavy Construction Safety Association of Saskatchewan’s (HCSAS) mission is to lead health and safety initiatives that reduce workplace risks, prevent injuries and minimize financial loss across Saskatchewan’s heavy construction sector. Representing workers in high-risk fields such as earthmoving, demolition, paving, trenching, crushing, high-line electrical work and sewer and water services, HCSAS is dedicated to education, advocacy and member support.
Motor Safety Association logo
The Motor Safety Association (MSA) is dedicated to enhancing workplace safety through education and the development of effective safety management systems. The MSA’s goal is to reduce the number and duration of injuries in the motor, mechanical, manufacturing and processing industries, including car dealers, auto body shops, implement dealers, tire service and sales, dairy products, soft drinks, processing meat, poultry and fish, agricultural equipment, iron and steel fabrication and other specialty shops.

The Saskatchewan Association for Safe Workplaces in Health (SASWH) represents health service workers, employers and unions, with a vision of making workplace health and safety a priority for all. This unprecedented, co-operative level of labour and management participation is critical to the SASWH’s work in eliminating injuries within the health-care sector.

The Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association (SCSA) serves the construction industry and the public by promoting safety within the construction environment. The SCSA also leads the development of safety culture through education, consultancy and building awareness about safer communities. The SCSA serves members in residential, commercial and industrial construction as well as the construction trades.

Service Hospitality is a non-profit safety association funded by employers in the hotel, taxi, restaurant, laundry and community and social services industries. Service Hospitality is committed to providing consultation, strategic guidance, training, education and resources focused on health, safety and well-being to more than 4,100 employers in these industries, helping reduce workplace injuries and the associated costs.

The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) has a goal of eliminating work-related illnesses and injuries by serving Canadians with credible and relevant tools and resources to improve workplace health and safety programs. Through this shared commitment, WorkSafe Saskatchewan offers free online health and safety education training to Saskatchewan workers and workplaces, through the CCOHS website.

Enough Already is a program offered by Sexual Assault Services of Saskatchewan (SASS). The goal of this program is to prevent and address sexual harassment in Saskatchewan workplaces by working with government, businesses, industry associations, unions and community organizations to make workplaces across Saskatchewan safer for everyone. Through this partnership, WorkSafe Saskatchewan endorses sexual harassment training to workers and employers, available on SASS’s website.
