2020 Youth Video Contest

Focus on safety

Teachers, have your students create a two-minute video to demonstrate workplace safety, health and injury prevention in an engaging way and be entered to win prizes for the team/school! Enter your video in WorkSafe Saskatchewan’s 2020 Youth Video Contest, offered with support from the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS).

Every year, approximately 3,500 Saskatchewan workers under the age of 25 are injured on the job. Three young workers die annually in a workplace incident. With your help, we can reduce these statistics to zero so that youth don’t get hurt at work.

The top three videos selected will receive a cash prize for the student team and school.

Team / School First Second Third
$1,000 / $1,500 $750 / $1,000 $500 / $750

Additionally, WorkSafe will award one school with a pizza party and swag for the whole class! See contest rules and regulations posted below for more information.

Deadline for submissions is 4 p.m. on March 26, 2020. WorkSafe Saskatchewan will announce the top three provincial winners in April 2020.

WorkSafe will submit the first-place video to the national Youth Video Contest hosted by the CCOHS. For more information about the national contest, visit www.ccohs.ca/youngworkers/video_contest.html.
