Saskatchewan WCB-certified Instructor Program

To become an instructor certified by the Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB), applicants must meet the prerequisites and requirements of one of the four pathways on the application form.

Only completed applications with supporting documentation will be considered.

Important information

The deadline to submit a complete application with supporting documentation is March 31 of each year.

Certified instructor training courses for the Level 1 Occupational Health Committee course, the Level 2 Occupational Health Committee course and for the Supervision and Safety workshop are held annually in July and August in Regina and Saskatoon. Successful applicants are advised by April 30 of the course dates. If you are unable to attend, your application is held for one year

Course structure

Day 1 of the certified instructor training course covers how to teach the course. On Day 2, participants deliver a portion of the course to the rest of the learning group.

Within six months of successfully completing the certified instructor training course, participants must make arrangements to deliver the course at their workplace with a WCB instructor observing.

Those with successful observations will be certified to deliver that course independently as a WCB-certified instructor.
