WHMIS for Saskatchewan Workers

Online WHMIS course for Saskatchewan workers

WHMIS for Saskatchewan Workers is an online course developed for WorkSafe Saskatchewan by the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS).

If you work with or may be exposed to hazardous materials at work, this course is for you.

Course outline & registration information

The WHMIS online course has 2 modules:

  • What is the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
  • Purpose and information found on a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)

The online course is only one half of the training you will require. After completing the online course, you must get workplace-specific training concerning the chemicals and materials you will work with or be exposed to. Your employer is responsible for arranging for this portion of your WHMIS training.

The course costs $10 and is payable by credit card online. Once you've registered, you must complete the course within 90 days of registration.
