Health & Safety Leadership Charter

Falls in a workplace can happen from a height, as a slip on a floor surface, or down into a trench or hole. Even a fall on a smooth, level surface can result in a fatality. Prevent falls in your workplace, especially on construction sites.
Choose the right fall arrest system for your task, then learn how to inspect and maintain it. Clean spills and mark or block fall hazards.
After work is over, practice fall prevention at home to avoid slips, trips and falls! Set mats by entryways. Tack down loose flooring, and move cords. Keep floors and stairs free of clutter. Use a proper stepladder - not a chair. Invest in a fall restraint system for your roof for home maintenance and hanging lights. Your life is worth it.
